  • Logistics service provider DSV signs long-term lease
  • Completion and start of operations in spring 2023

Full lease for the "Logistikcenter Stuttgart-Heilbronn" developed by ECE in Möckmühl near Heilbronn in Baden-Württemberg: The long-term tenant of the state-of-the-art logistics property is DSV Solutions GmbH, a leading contract logistics provider in Europe with more than 500 locations worldwide. DSV leases the entire 52,000 m² property developed and realized by ECE. The overall completion is scheduled for spring 2023, the handover of the rental space in stages from February 2023. The lease by DSV was brokered and accompanied by E&G Real Estate from Stuttgart.

Per McKinnell, Head of Department Logistics & International at ECE Work & Live: "The logistics center Stuttgart-Heilbronn in Möckmühl is unique in many respects and a very good example for the trustful and successful cooperation of various stakeholders. The location in Möckmühl and the property itself speak for themselves and, as expected, have met with very high demand on the market. We specifically chose DSV as our tenant and are very happy with this decision."

Michael Eder, Director Operations at DSV: "By leasing the Stuttgart-Heilbronn logistics center, DSV can continue its strategic development in the region and meet the ongoing high customer demand. The early and very professional cooperation between E&G Real Estate, ECE and DSV have created the basis for this joint success. We are eagerly awaiting the handover of one of the most sustainable logistics sites of DSV Solutions worldwide."

The logistics center, which consists of two buildings, is located directly on the A 81 freeway in the "Habichtshöfe" industrial area, has around 52,500 m² of warehouse space, 2,500 m² of office space and 7,500 m² of mezzanine and allows unrestricted 24/7 use.

The logistics center has been planned in accordance with current sustainability standards and is particularly energy-efficient: It is being built according to the KfW-40 standard and features, among other things, a large-scale photovoltaic system on the roof surfaces and energy-saving LED lighting. The PV system is operated by Sunrock, one of Europe's leading PV companies, which is involved in Möckmühl for the first time in Germany. DGNB certification in gold is being sought.

Partner and general contractor for the realization is the experienced construction company Goldbeck with its Southern branch, active throughout Europe. Construction was scheduled to start in December 2021.
